About Us

United Civilizations® (UC) is a global assembly of citizens who work together towards organising communities and creating a global inclusive society and culture of peace.

United Civilizations is an initiative of Global Dialogue Foundation® (GDF), which was first incorporated in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2008. GDF was established as a public not-for-profit organisation in December 2009 and as a registered charity in December 2012.

GDF serves as the nucleus for the creation of United Civilizations. Since its inception and through project “Unity in Diversity”, GDF has engaged community leaders worldwide to develop initiatives that aim to increase understanding among people of different cultures, preserve cultural identity and heritage and establish an ongoing dialogue that brings information, knowledge and opportunities that enhances the experience and success of communities.

In July 2011, GDF established “Unity in Diversity – World Civil Society” in collaboration with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and began launching country chapters. With representation now in 19 countries, each chapter is self-funded and works on initiating and promoting dialogue and understanding among cultures in their local communities with the goal of forming partnerships, working to strengthen communities and improving living conditions.

United Civilizations is an umbrella structure. Although its goals will continue to expand according to the needs of the new time and of its members, i.e. the global community, they are now concentrated on:

– World Civil Society – Universal Dialogue – GDF Sectors. These include:

“We are happy to work with Global Dialogue Foundation because you have developed a clear strategy. You
have invested into an Action Plan with the creation of NINETEEN
partnering organisations, known as chapters, from 19 countries. This
