Building Bridges through Informed Dialogue
Institute of Peace and Diplomacy (IPD) is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit think tank that aims to provide strength to global peace through dialogue and diplomacy by sharing knowledge, research, analysis and policy development in the areas of, peace-diplomacy, peace-building, conflict resolution, conflict transformation and conflict management. The main objective is to provide neutral space to stakeholders to share ideas, exchange views, experiences, understanding of the issues through innovative research and practices worldwide. IPD aims at connecting diverse groups and disciplines including experts, researchers, academicians, non-government organizations from across the globe working in conflict zones with the sole purpose of creating sustainable peace in countries and communities facing traditional and nontraditional security threats.

Education / Professional background
Muhammad Asif Noor has 15 years of professional experience in social sector. He has a Masters Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid-I-Azam University and another M.A in Pakistan Affairs and Diploma in Peace & Futuristic Studies. He is President Community Support Programme (CSP). CSP takes bold initiatives in order to create awareness about the socio-economic and political conditions in the country at grass root level thus to strive for peace in the society through adopting a participatory approach, believing in the importance of community and self-help. He is also Chief Organizer Quaid-I-Azam University Alumni Association. He is the board member Liberal Forum Pakistan and member Advisory Council, The Orchestra, Police School of Music and Arts. The Orchestra, Police School of Music and Arts, is a Community Welfare Project of Islamabad Capital Territory Police. He is also President of Azerbaijan Pakistan Youth Society.
Mr. Asif Noor is author of several books like “Azerbaijan-Pakistan Relations: Challenges and Opportunities”, “Knowing Brazil” in English and Urdu languages, “Pakistan-Kazakhstan Relations”. These books are being authored in collaboration with the missions in Pakistan in order to promote relations and explore opportunities of cooperation.
IPD was established in 2013 after the team completed its work of 20 years in the areas mentioned. Number of people: 10. Main area of activities:
